06AQ20141202 - salinity
Crossover offsets above and below zero exist. However, all are within acceptable
range. Most of them even close to zero. Hence no adjustment suggested.

Slight trend visible towards higher tCo2 concentrations with time, i.e. offsets
get lower/more negative for more recent cruises. Except for two all within
acceptable range. Further crossover analysis of 06MT1990123 (in 2015) points
towards too low tCo2 concentrations of that cruise. No adjustment suggested.

06AQ20141202 - alkalinity
Except for two strongly negative offsets (35A31995,90AV2004) all offsets within
acceptable range. Even though there is a slight tendency towards too low
concentrations (weighted mean offset of -1.2) no adjustment suggested. Note that
5 out of 12 crossovers yielded a positive offset.

Additional pH - inter consistency check (Type 2) indicates that the pH-value is
too low (offset of -0.008) in good agreement with the crossover results.

06AQ20141202 - ph
All offsets clearly below zero. "Older" crossovers have more negative offsets
but even with only the crossovers younger than 2004 the mean weighted offset
equals -0.009. For comparison the total mean weighted offset off all crossovers
is -0.13. To be on the conservative side the proposed adjustment is 0.009.

06AQ20141202 - phosphate
All crossover offsets clearly within acceptable range, showing a good agreement
among each other. However, it is striking that all repeated AQ tracks show a
"negative" offset (around 0.98) especially at greater depths. Nonetheless no
adjustment suggested.

Only the offset of 35A1995 lies slightly outside the acceptable range (weighted
mean of 0.978). This crossover is based on the three northernmost stations only.
Alltogether the weighted mean of all offsets is 0.99 thus clearly within the
allowed limits. No adjustment suggested.

10 offsets (out of 16 in total) show a value above 1.01. However, only three
offsets above the threshold of 1.02. The weighted mean offset is 1.01 and thus
too small to suggest an adjustment, especially given two offsets (33RO2010,
90AV2004) below 1.

Many offsets close to 1, but only one offset below (06AQ1998). 06AQ2005 depicts
a strong outlier with an offset of 1.026 - has already been adjusted upwards.
Given the great amount of offsets within the acceptable range no adjustment
suggested.
