29AH20120623 - salinity
Merged data of bottle salinity and CTDSAL (if needed) used for analysis. Most
outliers lie near coast, however more "reliable" crossovers close to (or
slightly above) zero.

Many stations used for the crossover analysis are either near upwelling sites or
deep water Formation sites.
Nonethelss, most offsets are within acceptable range
Note thaht all GD cruises are "bad" crossover examples.
Maintain.

29AH20120623 - ph
After the discussions in Seattle and the new limits for pH this cruise receives
no adjustment
Posted by siv.lauvset@uib.no on 2018-10-01 09:36:12 UTC for data product: GLODAPv2.2019, v2.2020, v2.2021, v2.2022, v2.2023

It should be take into account that some acidification is occurring in deep
water. it should be compared with more recent cruises.

29AH20120623 - ph
An additional carbon inter consistency check (type 3) shows that the proposed
adjustment enhances the accuracy. The tco2 (calculated) offset without a pH
adjustment is 4.17, with adjustment (0.004) 2.50. Note that a temporal trend is
involved in the tco2 offsets - the calculated tco2 data (with ph adjustment) is
not offset in respect to 35TH2010, the most recent crossover. Hence the
adjustment of 0.004 seems good.

There is only one crossovers (316N2007) with an offsets above 0. Further, note
thath extreme outliers not reliable, e.g. crossovers in the Hudson bay. Also,
deep measurements often show weaker offsets, e.g. 33MW1993.
Adjust slightly upward.

which are below 0.98 are not too reliable, e.g. close to upwelling sites.

The saturation ratios show quite a bit of variability, but the total mean, as
well as the nice relation to CFC_11 indicate nice accuracy.

The saturation ratios (upper 20m) indicate a bit too high concentrations (within
acceptable range), also reflected in the total mean.
However, note the nice relation to CFC_12 measurements at all depths. Maintain.
