33RO20131223 - salinity
Quite a strong variability between the different crossover offsets. However, the
great majority shows very reasonable (< 0.0025) offsets centered around 0. Note
that the offsets also vary strongly with depth for most crossovers. Maintain.

Crossovers with offsets above the upper limit seem doubtful (e.g. MT1994). Thus,
even though the weighted mean gives the impression that the concentrations are
slightly too high (within range) the very good fit to RO2011 rather supports
that the data is very accurate.

Crossover results imply a too high (0.011) pH-value. Especially older cruises
seem to have an higher offset whereas cruises younger 2009 show a mean offset of
roughly -0.005. However, an interconistency check confirms the crossover
results and also suggests an upward adjustment of 0.010.

Only two crossovers show offsets below the acceptable range. Even though the
cruise seems too have slightly too low concentrations it falls clearly within
the limits. Note that 33MW1993 just "shares" the northenmost stations, i.e. a
crossover with an offset above 1.02 is doubtful. No adjustment needed.

All offsets are below one, 50% of them (just) below the lower limit. The offset
is visible at all depths. The crossovers with offsets very close to one (e.g.
74JC1995, JC2010) cross at the very southern end of the cruise.
Given the rel. high number of crossovers and their agreement follow the weighted
mean and adjust upward.

Mabye slightly oversaturated (if first 30 stations are compared to CFC_11).
Anyway, most of the profiles show acceptable saturation ratios and the overall
good fit (see tracer.png) to the CFC_11 data supports the good quality of the
data. Maintain.

The very first 30 stations and the last (roughly) 20 stations show
undersaturated (up to 4%) surface waters. In between these the measurements show
oversaturated waters (max up to 5%). Further, there is a good fit to the CFC_12
data. Maintain.
