49NZ20140709 - salinity
Only three crossovers present, but all within the acceptable range. The deep
water average fits also nicely to surrounding cruises. Maintain.

49NZ20140709 - tco2
Only one crossover, but its offset is within the acceptable range. An additional
MLR analysis, as well as the deep water average support the result of the
crossover. Maintain.

49NZ20140709 - alkalinity
Only one crossover present, with an offset slightly below the acceptable range.
However, in contrast to this doubtful crossover, the MLR (24 samples) and deep
water average indicate rather (slightly) too low concentrations - clearly within
the acceptable range. Given the great uncertainty and range of the individual
MLR offsets, as well as the conflicting results described above no robust
adjustment can be suggested.

49NZ20140709 - phosphate
Only three crossovers present, but all clearly within the acceptable range. The
deep water average fits also nicely to surrounding cruises and the MLR does not
show any large offset either. Maintain.

49NZ20140709 - ph
The carbon interconsistency check (type 2) indicates too high (0.0092) pH data.
Assuming the accuracy of the TA and tco2 data adjust downward accordingly. Note
that this adjustment is not very certain.

Only three crossovers present, but the distinct profiles of this cruise are quite
striking - nonetheless the weighted mean of the three crossovers indicate "ok"
data. The deep water average fits nicely to surrounding cruises though. The vast
spread of individual offsets obtained from the MLR support the finding from the
crossovers. All in all maintain.

Only three crossovers present, only 49UP2002 doesn't indicate very accurate
data. The deep water average fits ok to surrounding cruises - rather indicating
too low concentrations. The MLR (26 samples, note the high RMSE) does not show a
large offset. Maintain.
