49UP20111205 - salinity
The crossover analysis has very limited meaning given the large standard
deviations. However most weighted offsets are in the acceptable range. Maintain.

All 6 offsets indicate too high concentrations. Even substracting the standard
deviations from the offsets still results in positive offsets for 70% of the
crossovers. However, the individual profiles do not show such a clear picture as
the summary plot, e.g. RY1994.... Adjust accordingly to the most recent
crossover (UP2010) (?)

All 6 significant crossovers indicate too low concentrations. However the
offsets are near the allowed limit and the absolute mean (-3.25) is also within
the acceptable range. Standard deviations are - as usual for this region and
depth - large. Maintain.

49UP20111205 - ph
pH to zero in Seattle
Posted by are.olsen@uib.no on 2018-09-27 00:47:13 UTC for data product: GLODAPv2.2019, v2.2020, v2.2021, v2.2022, v2.2023
49UP20111205 - ph
All 5 signifcant crossovers indicate a too low pH value - the two most recent
crossovers, 49NZ2005 and UP2010 show the lowest offsets (roughly -0.006).
However, note the large standard deviations. The interconsistency check (type 2
with adjusted TCO2 data) does confirm this finding (partially) with an offset of
-0.011 . Adjust to reduce offset with other carbonate data and to fit well with
UP2010.

The limited depth does not allow a robust 2nd QC. However, more than 90% of the
weighted mean offsets are clearly below 0.99 as indicated by the absolute mean
of 0.96 +/- 0.01. Either flag it -888 or -777.
